Our Story
Jodie & Howie, young and ambitious twenty-somethings, met at agricultural uni where they shared a passion for the great outdoors, great music, great ideas….and milk.
After partying at V festival, Jodie & Howie noticed that amongst the array of food stalls, very little was available when it came to milk. This was bad news for Jodie who was, and still is, a self-confessed milk addict and would readily swap a fizzy drink for a glass of the white stuff.
Together they had a ‘what if’ moment. What if there was a stall selling ice cold creamy milkshakes – the best ones in Britain. The duo went on a flavour blending mission (in Howie’s mum’s farmhouse kitchen) – and tried hundreds of combinations mixed with ice cold dairy ice cream, and came up with the name Shaken Udder. They then went onto sell their delicious shakes up and down the country at festivals.
After gaining huge popularity, fans wanted to know where they could get their milkshake fix all year round. So the focus for Jodie & Howie was crystal clear, Shaken Udder needed to be in shops.
They got their first grocery listing in Harvey Nichols in 2008 and are now listed in all the major UK retailers, with 7 scrumptious flavours including Chocolush, Salted Caramel, Vanillalicious, Top Banana, Strawberry Dream, White Choc and Double Choc.

Chocolate has always been our most popular milkshake flavour so we are very excited to expand our choccy range with two new indulgent flavours - White Choc and Double Choc.
Our White Choc is made with lashings of creamy white chocolate, whilst our Double Choc has a combination of dark chocolate and Belgian milk chocolate for a rich, velvety taste. Double delish!

FROM FESTIVAL FIELDS TO ITV PRIME TIME
We’ve always wanted to be on TV and we’ve finally made it with our first ever ad! Filmed in a courtroom (it was all very dramatic!), the Judge takes a sip of Chocolush which unleashes his brighter side. He starts banging his gavel, tapping his pen and dancing to the catching beat which inspires the whole courtroom to start joining in! It’s a cinematic, joyful, milkshake masterpiece. What’s most exciting about our ad is that it was a real team effort. Jodie was part of the directing crew and Howie featured in the ad itself, playing an exception supporting role of the defendant’s solicitor. The rest of the Shaken Udder team were all involved too, playing parts of the jury and other audience members. A day we will always remember and an ad we are all very proud of. We’re keeping our fingers crossed for an Oscar nomination.
DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY
Do What Makes You Happy is our new mantra in life and to spread this important message far and wide, we’ve gone all out with a big advertising campaign. This is where you’ll see us at bus stops, those big billboards along the side of the road and those animated ads when you’re scrolling through YouTube.
Life can be a bit of grind and we’re always looking for those little moments where we can get some positivity back into it. As adults, we have to uphold so many expectations that we inevitably end up doing a lot of things we just don’t actually want to do. That’s why we say it’s time that everyone started to do what makes them that little bit happier. Because in the spirit of a delicious milkshake…a milkshake that’s born with that festival feeling at its very heart, we believe anything that nourishes your brighter and more liberated side is worth doing. Whatever that may be. It’s time we all let our brighter, happier selves shine….do what makes you happy.

Shaken Udder just got a whole lot better looking with a well-deserved face-lift. Our fresh new look was launched onto shelves in Jan this year with our fancy new labels dialling up our brand name and famous cow. So not only do they taste ridiculously good, they now look totally fabulous too!
